A man terrorizes McDonald’s patrons in New York City in shocking video

On Saturday night, September 17, 2022, video of a fight taking place at a McDonald’s restaurant in New York City was uploaded to the internet and quickly garnered widespread attention. The man in the video, identified by New York City Police Department as Michael Palacios, went on a rampage with an ax at the cafe after a verbal confrontation got out of hand.

At around 2:25 a.m., the 31-year-old Bronx suspect got into an argument with three other men. What started out as a verbal argument quickly turned into a physical one. After a while, Palacios nonchalantly grabbed an ax from his backpack and began threatening others in the McDonald’s store.

An eyewitness was able to tape record the axe-wielding Palacios wreaking havoc at a McDonald’s store on Delancey Street, startling customers and causing extensive property damage. The video was taken by the witness. With the ax still in his hand, he approached a frightened woman and said to her:

“Don’t be afraid of me; your fear should be directed at him!”

A number of observers urged him to take deep breaths and relax. According to the police, none of those present in the McDonald’s restaurant were injured during the abrupt outbreak of violence.

A user named Shakes McGoo, who was also present during the chaos, wrote the following on TikTok:

Fox News Digital was told by an NYPD representative that:

“The suspect pulled an ax from his backpack and threatened the unknown. The suspect acted intentionally by damaging the company’s property. The man in question was taken into custody by officers who responded. Another knife was found in his backpack during a search conducted as part of his lawful arrest. The victims reported no injuries.”
The NYPD conducted an arrest of Palacios, who was subsequently charged with one count of criminal mischief, three counts of threats and two counts of criminal possession of weapons.
