A Bronx woman was killed on Saturday when an SUV pulled into the sidewalk and pinned her against a wrought-iron fence, police and distraught neighbors said.

Friends broke their hearts when they told the Daily News that Paulina Nrecaj, 59, passed away late Friday night.

Around 6:30 a.m., Nrecaj was standing on a sidewalk near the intersection where Bronxdale Avenue and Cruger Avenue meet in Pelham Parkway. When a man in a 2016 Lexus SUV swerved to avoid hitting a stopped van on Friday, police said she got caught on the fence. The man is 45 years old.
