The best driver of American auto racing is Kurt Thomas Busch.
He drives the #45 Toyota Camry TRD full-time for 23XI Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series.
How did Kurt Busch fare?
Kurt Busch will not be driving his 23XI Racing Toyota because doctors did not give the former series champion a start clearance after a second assessment after his crash in qualifying.
He hit the outside wall at Turn 3 while spinning on his lap, but still made it to the next qualifying round of the NASCAR Cup Series.
The car made a sharp turn and crashed into the right front wall. Busch walked and went to the ambulance alone to make the necessary trip to the medical facility in the field.
Busch’s decision to skip the Pocono race doesn’t earn him any points. His win at Kansas Speedway gave him a win prior to the weekend that put him ahead of seven other drivers on the playoff lineup and 14th overall.
Update on Kurt Busch’s health and illness following his accidents Now
On Saturday during qualifying, Kurt Busch crashed into the wall coming out of turn 3. Busch was re-evaluated Sunday after his accident, and according to NASCAR, he was not given the all-clear for the race.
Busch and his younger brother Kyle publicly broke their ties at the 2007 NEXTEL All-Star Challenge. The Busch were facing off against each other with ten laps to go in the race when their cars collided, eliminating both from the fight for victory.
Despite the fact that he took first place, the media and public were more intrigued by Kurt and Kyle’s argument. They got into a fight on the pit lane and were angry at the post-race celebrations.
According to a NASCAR publication, Kurt Busch met medics at the infield care facility this morning for an additional evaluation following his collision during yesterday’s qualifying session. After judging, Kurt Busch was not given the green light to compete in today’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway.
Busch praised NASCAR for doing a fantastic job of putting driver health ahead of the needs of the competition.
