On Thursday, August 11, South Korean media site Xports News received an official update on the actress’ facial injuries from 9ato Entertainment, the company of Han So management hee. It would be some time before the actress resumed filming as she is still healing.
Horror drama Gyeongseong Creature was filmed on August 3 when the My Name actress suffered a facial injury. She stars in the action-packed drama alongside Itaewon Class’s Park Seo-joon.
According to a statement from 9ato Entertainment, the actress is expected to return to filming “after next week.” But it seems the exact time will not be known until she has fully recovered.
Han Soon, So-hee could start again
The Still actress has just started filming Gyeongseong Creature, a fantasy thriller co-starring Park Seo-joon. She suffered an injury near her eye on August 3 while performing a challenging action scene. A few days later, on August 8, she personally informed her supporters that she was fine.
The actress’ agency also updated fans on August 11 of her future intentions. Although the My Name actress does not need surgery, the accident prevents her from wearing cosmetics. She is currently being treated with a recovery band and is expected to return to work after the next week.
“Gyeongseong Creature is currently being shot without Han So-hee; She is expected to rejoin after the following week. Her injuries prevent her from putting on cosmetics, so the exact date will be determined after reviewing her prognosis. Luckily, she didn’t need surgery, and for now, the recovery band is taking care of her. There are still bruises around her eyes.
Han So-hee’s 2020 breakthrough came with the critically acclaimed drama The Married World. Given that the actor has landed roles in popular dramas like Soundtrack #1, Still, and My Name, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he’s one of the industry’s rising superstars.
Han So-hee’s recent Instagram posts raise questions
A facial injury is a big deal that can make or break a career in a field where looks are everything. Han So fans were alarmed when they recently found abstract images she posted on her Instagram.
The ‘Nonetheless’ actor has uploaded some artwork that includes a dog on a leash, a bleeding nose, silhouettes of people and strangely connected limbs.
The concern was widespread in the comments below the posts. Some fans thought the actress was subtly hinting at the difficult time she was going through in the photos.
Gyeongseong Creature, a fantasy thriller set in 1945, is about two people who must fight a monster to survive. Written by Kang Eun-kyung, famous for the popular series Dr. Romantic, and directed by Jung Dong-yoon from Stove League.
