Alex Murdaugh, a disgraced attorney who is 53 years old, is charged with the murder of his wife and son.

According to an eight-page indictment, Murdaugh shot Maggie with a rifle and Paul with a shotgun. A Colleton County grand jury charged him with double murder and double possession of a weapon in the commission of a violent felony. The indictment came out on Thursday, July 14. When Maggie died, it was in her name.

Three months ago, he told police he “found” the bodies when he returned to his family’s 1,700-acre hunting ground in the Moselle. “I need immediate help from the police and an ambulance. Gloria Satterfield worked as housekeeper for the Murdaughs for a long time. On February 26, 2018, the 57-year-old woman “died from injuries sustained when she tripped and fell” at the family home in Hampton County.
