Brandi was sentenced to one hundred and twenty years in prison for the murder of her two children. She received a 55-year sentence for the murder of her son, Tyler, and 65 years for the murder of her daughter, Charlee.
During this time, Brandi’s ex-husband, Jason Worley, is continuing his career as a software engineer while living a reclusive life in Indiana. He has vowed never to speak to or see his ex-wife again.
Additionally, there were no rumors that Jason would remarry after his first marriage ended in divorce. It seems he is still mourning the loss of his children and is filled with regret that he could not have saved them.

What made Brandi Worley end her marriage to Jason Worley?
In fact, it was Jason Worley who originally filed for divorce, not Brandi Worley.
Ever since Jason found out his wife was having an affair with a neighbor, the future of the couple’s relationship has been in jeopardy. He had full intentions of leaving her immediately, but was forced to reconcile with her after Brandi threatened to use the fact that he attempted suicide in high school as evidence that he cannot be a parent.
After dating for about a year, Jason finds out that Worley has been cheating on him again with another woman. At this point, the software engineer has come to the conclusion that he must end his relationship with his adulterous wife.
On November 15, 2016, Jason called an attorney and filed for divorce. He claimed Brandi was unfaithful to him throughout their marriage. The horrific murders that Brandi committed against her children occurred the following day.
As her murder weapon, Brandi used a Kabar combat knife that she bought at a Walmart. On the night of the murders, she asked Jason to sleep with her on the couch, but he refused and went to sleep in the basement instead. Then, under the guise of a sleepover, Brandi brought her son Tyler, then 7 years old, to Charlee’s room.
It was at this location that she began killing Tyler by repeatedly stabbing him in the neck. Charlee was startled by the sound of the stitches, but Brandi warned her to go back to sleep. When Worley was done with Tyler, she turned her attention to her own daughter and used the same method to end her own life by stabbing herself in the neck.
Before committing the murders, Brandi had called her mother to her home, but she had not disclosed her intentions to kill anyone. Jason was finally awakened from his sleep by the horrified screams that Brandi’s mother let out upon discovering the bodies of her deceased grandchildren.
The only reason Brandi committed these heinous acts was to prevent her husband from gaining custody of their children and taking them away from her. She initially pleaded not guilty to the charges, but later changed it to a guilty plea.
As for Jason, he continues to feel guilty about his decision to spend the night of the murder in the basement. He believes that he could have saved his children, or at least died next to them, if he had slept on the couch.

The fatalities have been identified as Charlee Rose Jean Worley and Tyler Daniel Clinton Worley, both born in 2009. (born 2013). Sugar Creek Elementary School is located in unincorporated Montgomery County, Indiana, and Tyler attended it when he was in first grade. Charlee attended the Williamson Early Learning Center in Crawfordsville, Indiana for her preschool education. He was seven years old and she was only three years old when they were born.
Brandi tied the knot with Jason Worley, a software engineer, in August 2009, exactly two years after the couple got engaged.
According to an article published by Shannon Hall in the Journal & Courier, Jason was quoted as saying, “The two have considered splitting up in the past, but despite some difficulties, they’ve stayed together.” On November 15, 2016, he passed Jason Worley filed for divorce citing his wife’s multiple affairs as the reason. According to Brandi Worley’s attorney, there have been no past cases of child abuse.
Murders of Tyler and Charlee Worley
Brandi Worley went to Walmart in Crawfordsville, Indiana on the pretext that she needed to buy pipe cleaners for a school project her son Tyler was working on. The dance performance for her daughter Charlee had just ended and Brandi had just returned from attending. The Kabar combat knife used in the murder was purchased by Brandi Worley at a Walmart on Nov. 16, according to a prosecutor named Joseph Buser, who works for the Montgomery County government. The first thing she did when she got home was put the knife in Tyler’s room. She offered Jason to sleep on the couch, but he declined, stating that he’d rather sleep in the basement than on her bed or the couch.
Brandi lured Tyler into Charlee’s bedroom by saying there would be a sleepover there while Jason slept in the basement of their house. Jason slept in the basement. She inflicted fatal wounds on the children by stabbing them in the neck, and then she stabbed herself in the neck. Brandi murdered her son before murdering her daughter. After waking up to hear several stitches being delivered to her brother, the daughter demanded, “What are you doing?” Brandi, in response to her question, instructed her to “keep sleeping.” After that, she stabbed her daughter several times. Finally, Brandi called 9-1-1 to report the murders. She reported having “a lot of Benadryl” in her system. She told 911 that she had previously spoken to her mother and that her mother is currently on her way to the scene of the incident. Her mother was not yet aware of the recent incidents in the family.
At first, the 9-1-1 leader hoped or believed the call wasn’t real, so she contacted Brandi Worley’s mother, the victims’ grandmother, and asked her to check on how the children were doing. Jason was startled by his mother-in-law’s screams as she found out her grandchildren had been murdered. Brandi informed Jason that at this point he could no longer take the children away from her. The police arrived around 3:30 am.
The Terre Haute Regional Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana served as the location for the autopsies performed.

Brandi Worley was initially admitted to the Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis to receive treatment for the wounds she inflicted on herself.
On November 22, 2016, the memorial service for the victims was held at the Darlington Community Center and they were buried after the service in Greenlawn Cemetery, Darlington. A vigil was held on November 18, 2016 at the Congregational Christian Church, also located in Darlington.
After receiving a message from the father of one of the victims on Reddit, YouTuber Philip DeFranco offered to help Jason Worley. DeFranco urged his audience to donate to a GoFundMe account to help cover Jason Worley’s immediate living expenses as well as the children’s funeral expenses.
The divorce, initiated by Jason Worley, was finalized in March 2017.
