Love Death and Robots Season 4 has been confirmed, which is wonderful news for fans. You read that right. Since news broke that the venerable show will return, fans have been waiting for the release date and other information. Season 3, which premiered worldwide on May 20, 2022, drew a sizeable audience and garnered plenty of praise. Everyone is now interested in knowing more about the upcoming season’s anticipated storyline. Read all the details in this article.
On August 12, the animated series’ official social media account announced that Netflix had approved the new season. The account announced the news by writing, “Volume Four and Volume IV is a GO.” We tell you there will be nine episodes of the show, starring David Fincher, Tim Miller, Jennifer Miller, Joshua Donen and Jennifer Yuh Nelson will all appear in them. These actors will be seen again in the fourth film. Let’s add that on August 10th, Jibaro’s character design by Albert Mielgo earned him an Emmy for Individual Achievement in Animated Character Design, so fans of the series were already celebrating it.
After the news broke, the series gained popularity across a number of platforms. While news of the extension is much appreciated, the show’s global fanbase isn’t particularly surprised. The series’ incredible rating of 8.4/10 on IMDB and ratings of 85% and 79% on Rotten Tomatoes’ average tomatometer and audience ratings, respectively, say volumes to its rising popularity on a global scale. Tim Miller, the series’ creator, has said that as long as Netflix agrees to produce it, it would happily produce more volumes of Love, Death and Robots.
This is excellent news. Miller told IGN in April 2021, “Why would we stop this as long as they’ll let us continue?” Unfortunately, a target release date was omitted from the Love, Death, and Robots Season 4 renewal announcement. However, given the speed at which each of the series’ previous Netflix seasons was put together, we can make a few generalizations. Blur Studios was the only studio to confirm it was working on the upcoming fourth season, suggesting pre-production may have already begun. This gives us more confidence in the mid-2023 return schedule. Keep checking back for further developments.
