He attended public schools in Duluth through 8th grade when he transferred to the Minnesota State School for the Deaf. Daniel graduated from MSAD in 2008 and then went to RIT in Rochester, NY and Gallaudet in Washington, DC. In 2012, Daniel relocated to Los Angeles, California to perform in a Deaf West Theater production of Cyrano. Soon after Cyrano, Daniel got a guest acting job at the Terp Theater at Oakland University in Michigan. In their production of Police: Deaf: Near: Far, Daniel played the main character “Stinger”. Daniel joined the cast of “Switched at Birth” (ABC Family Channel) in 2013 and played “Matthew”, one of the main characters, until the series ended in 2017.
