After an incident in which she got drunk and was thrown out of the home she shared with her husband, she was placed on leave and only allowed to work under the supervision of an experienced lawyer. As part of her probationary period, she has to contact her absent father and her two half-siblings and work with them in the family law firm.

Now Abigail must not only find solutions that work for clients whose situation is like her own, but also navigate the complicated dynamics of her own family. The excellent work of the cast is another factor that adds to the drama and interest of the story.
