The European and UK dates for American rock band Rage Against the Machine have been cancelled. The performances were scheduled for this month and September. The news comes after singer Zack De La Rocha injured his leg. The singer injured his leg during a July concert in Chicago.

The singer performed while seated despite the injury. He was later taken off the stage by crew members after the performance. Zack de la Rocha is now said to need rest and, according to the band, was discouraged from performing. However, the band will complete the three performances at Madison Square Garden scheduled for August 11, 12 and 14.

Mentioned Rage Against The Machine in a statement

According to medical advice, Zack de la Rocha has been informed that the UK and European legs of the Rage Against The Machine tour in August and September 2022 cannot take place. This cancellation is announced with great disappointment.
They went on to say:

“The Rage Against The Machine run at Madison Square Garden ends on August 11th, 12th and 14th and Zack will then have to go home to recover. With flights, travel time and the demanding schedule in the UK and Europe, the risk is just too great.

The band offered ticket holders an additional apology and promised to refund their money. Also in 2023 the band will give their planned concerts in North America.

Security attacking the guitarist for Rage Against The Machine

Tom Morello, the band’s guitarist, was attacked by a security guard shortly after Zack De La Rocha was injured. A Rage Against The Machine fan attempted to enter the stage during a performance in Toronto on July 23. The security agent contacted Morello, who appeared while attempting to remove the fan. The security guard accidentally knocked Morello to the ground while trying to take down the fan. The band was playing Killing in the Name Of, the final song of the night when the tragedy struck.
