The fourth episode of Tell Me Lies is out now and it’s as addicting, confusing and deceptive as ever.
The latest episode looks at Stephen and Lucy’s relationship and how it might develop in the future. It also puts Bree in the spotlight with a story about sex that’s a lot easier to understand.
Tell Me Lies is based on the 2018 book of the same name by Carola Lovering. It was produced by Meaghan Oppenheimer. Grace Van Patten plays Lucy Albright, Jackson White plays Stephen DeMarco, Catherine Missal plays Bree, Spencer House plays Wrigley, Sonia Mena plays Pippa, Branden Cook plays Evan, Benjamin Wadsworth plays Drew, and Alicia Crowder plays Diana. 51 minutes are spent on the fourth episode.
How does Tell Me Lies episode 4 end?
In Episode 4 of Tell Me Lies, Stephen lies straight to Lucy’s face and Lucy believes him. Every episode shows that Stephen is a good liar, from staying in New York for his job interview to hiding the truth about Macy’s death.
In Episode 4 of Tell Me a Lie, Lucy is upset to find out that Stephen may be sleeping with other people. Although they had agreed to this in a previous episode, every time Lucy finds Stephen’s condoms she becomes more and more worried and angry. At the end of the episode, Lucy and Stephen have another racy sexual encounter, and then Lucy goes to the bathroom to urinate.
She is really upset when she sees a used condom in the trash can in the bathroom. In the first part of the episode, Lucy tries to talk to Stephen about this topic, but he cheats on her, gives her false information, and then walks away. When Lucy finds the used condom at the end of the episode, she isn’t too happy, but she doesn’t talk to Stephen about it. Instead, she sleeps with him in his dorm.
Finally, in Episode 4 of Tell Me Lies, Bree loses her virginity, which is also a big deal. Tim is the one who did it. However, she doesn’t feel much about the sex and they soon break up. In the heat of the moment, she almost kisses Drew, but stops herself in the end. At the end of the episode, Bree starts talking to Evan, who we know is the beginning of their relationship that will lead to their marriage. The audience is also told that Evan and Allie are no longer together.

Take off your pants and jacket in the fourth episode of Tell Me Lies
Tell Me Lies Episode 4 is mostly about sex and the urges that go with it, as the episode name suggests. Lucy keeps seeing Stephen, but she’s sure he’s seeing other people. Though she tries to get her point across, Stephen is manipulative enough not to let her get the upper hand and ends up making her a submissive in their sexual relationship.
Lucy is clearly becoming more emotionally involved than she should be, and the fourth episode shows this so clearly that you want to yell at her and let her see the light. But alas, audiences can only watch as the strange connection grows.
Wrigley and Pippa’s relationship doesn’t get much screen time this episode, but it’s still hard to understand how they’re keeping Macy’s death a secret. Bree, our virgin queen, is finally getting over it, but her turmoil is understandable, and the fact that she can’t really talk about it is understandable.
Episode 4 of Tell Me Lies. Still from Tell Me Lies
The fourth episode of Tell Me Lies does a good job of building the long-term relationships and momentum. Still, it’s frustrating for people reading the book to see that Lucy’s eating disorder isn’t the focus. However, if Stephen keeps doing things behind the scenes, maybe it will make an appearance on screen soon.
Lucy’s co-dependence on Stephen is another thing that needs clarification as it’s hard to know what our main character is going through because she’s usually closed off. We don’t learn much more about Lucy than what her friends and Stephen know, which is starting to get annoying. A voiceover could make things clearer so the audience doesn’t feel separated from the main character over time.
The best part of Tell Me Lies Episode 4 has to be the part about Bree, how she lost her virginity and how she feels about it. Most mainstream depictions of sex are so outlandish that they miss the point of the relationship. But with Bree’s help, Tell Me Lies can show the disappointment of losing your virginity and how different people feel about sex.
Since the third episode ended with a cliffhanger about how Macy’s pictures were on Stephen’s computer, this episode should have focused more on that. In this episode, Macy’s death seems like a small thing, which shouldn’t be the case since it has a huge impact on what happens later in the story. But of course we must eagerly await the grand declaration that is coming soon.
Final Thoughts on Episode 4 of Tell Me Lies
Overall, Tell Me Lies Episode 4 was well written and put together. It took some of the focus away from Lucy and onto Bree, which seemed important. It also managed to show how Lucy and Stephen’s relationship could grow into a long-term one, which prepared audiences for something creepy and sad. We didn’t lengthen this episode by jumping back and forth between the past and the present, and it would have been really sweet if Evan and Bree’s conversation had turned to the wedding.
tell me lies episode 4
Tell Me Lies “tells” the interesting and shady love story of Lucy Albright and Stephen DeMarco, a couple whose perversity is shocking both together and apart. As they get to know each other better in college, their seedy relationship goes up and down.
Although these two are the main characters, there are many other interesting and well-developed characters in the series. Care was taken to avoid one-dimensional high school caricatures common in modern films. Tell Me Lies exemplifies on-screen perversity in the form of toxic love between mostly unlikable and disjointed characters.
