Before joining News 3, she spent three years as a weekend meteorologist at FOX21 News in Colorado Springs.
She spent three seasons reporting on tropical cyclones as a morning meteorologist at ABC15 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, before covering snowstorms and wildfires in southern Colorado.

WTKR co-host Blaine Stewart said a final goodbye to meteorologist Maddie as she leaves the network after three amazing years of service.
Stewart claims, “It’s never easy saying goodbye, especially when someone leaving is as considerate and wise as @MaddieKirker. As our friend and colleague embarks on their next exciting adventure with Chester the Weather Dog, we want to say goodbye.”

Under the message, the moderator’s supporters also say goodbye. However, one user remarked, “You will be sadly missed. I wish you both a bright future full of success.”
Another added: “Oh no. I will miss talking to them.”
A third person explains: “I wasn’t sure of her departure date for @ToddCorillo. I had them in my head as a couple.”
Maddie Kirker: Where is she going now?
Maddie urged her Instagram followers to follow her as she would reveal her and Chester the Weather Dog’s next destination. On July 24, she teased her fans in a lengthy post that she was leaving the network.
She embarks on her forthcoming great expedition.
Chester and I are leaving @wtkr3 in a few weeks, she writes. Miraculously three years have passed. from the coast to the mountains, passing through seven different cities. The experiences I had here will always have a special place in my heart.”
“At the very least, please know how much Chester and I appreciate your love and support. Saturday August 6th will be our last day. Keep an eye out for our next destination when Chester the Weatherhound and I travel!”
Maddie Kirker has a husband, married?
You can probably tell that Maddie Kirker is single and husbandless by checking out her Instagram page.
Maddie hasn’t revealed much information about her personal life, but she has spoken about a happy event in life – watching her best friend get married.
You read that right. She posted a picture of Ksee24 host Jennifer N. Ortega and her companion from the wedding.
“We cannot and will not stop!” she writes. @jennifernortega you have my undying love.”
She published a similar article on March 23, 2018, and commented, “It makes me so happy to submit this! I adore you Jenni Fernandez and feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of your special day. Oh, and “Kirkertega” can be removed from the state of Mississippi, but not vice versa.

For more information on Maddie, see her bio. Maddie began her career in 2011 at WCBI in Columbus, Mississippi where she developed her skills as a weekend meteorologist tracking severe storms and tornadoes for two years.
In 2011, Maddie graduated from Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS with a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast meteorology.
In April 2019 she joined the First Warning Weather Team.
Similarly, she was a member of the college forecasting team that won the Mississippi State Championship and was considered one of the best undergraduate forecasters in the country.
When Maddie is not working, she enjoys field trips, hiking and exercising with her golden retriever, Chester.
Chester competes in agility and visits schools, hospitals and foster homes as a therapy dog with the renowned Go Team Therapy, Crisis and Airport Dogs Inc.
