Former Australian politician John Barilaro, who led and chaired the New South Wales branch of the National Party from 2016 to 2021, is accused of having an affair with Jennifer Lugsdin before his divorce.
John was leader of the New South Wales National Party from 2016 to 2021.
From April 2019 he was Minister for Regional New South Wales, Industry and Trade in the second Berejiklian government. From 2011 until his resignation in October 2021 he was the legislature for the constituency of Monaro in New South Wales.
John Barilaro was born on November 14, 1971 in Queanbeyan to Italian immigrants from Calabria.
After graduating from high school, he started working in the family company Ryleho, which manufactures energy-efficient wooden windows and doors, and eventually worked his way up to managing director.
A Queanbeyan native, he worked to found Queanbeyan Macedonia Football Club and has spearheaded the construction of a high school in the growing suburb of Jerrabomberra. He also presided over the club for eight years.
