Summary of Kurulus: Osman Season 4
One of the heirs to the Byzantine throne, Kantakuzenos, strives to assassinate Andronikos and become emperor in Constantinople. Osman, our main character, discovers this conspiracy through his spies in the city and he finally manages to save Andronikos’ life.
Olof and Kantakuzenos were furious at this defeat. Together they blame Alcicek and Ktem Bey, a subordinate under Osman, for the mishap and her failure to get the job done. However, Osman foils her plans and proves her innocence. Alcicek and Aktemur, the Subaşi of Yenişehir and Gunduz’s son and Osman’s nephew fall in love amidst all this.
Marmara Hisar was later taken over by Osman (located in present-day Marmarack). Ismihan Sultan, the mother of Sultan Alaeddin Kayqubad III, the current Seljuk Sultan, overhears Bayindir Bey of the Avuldur tribe, an angry subordinate of Bey of Osman, complaining about Osman for receiving his share of the conquest spoils later than expected has.
Concerned about Osman’s growing power, Ismihan travels to Yenişehir and joins forces with Olof, Kantakuzenos, and Bayindir to depose Osman. Meanwhile, Osman decides to reinstate Sultan Mesud, Alaeddin’s exiled uncle, as monarch.
Ismihan infects Yenişehir with disease and nearly kills him, inflicting severe damage on Osman. However, all their plans are foiled by Osman’s execution of Kantakuzenos. During the ensuing battle, Samagar, a Mongol commander, is also killed.
