Videos posted by fans show parts of the stage being blown away due to strong gusts of wind. Chaos is observed as the pieces fall into the audience. Those leaving the platform are seen shouting the names of loved ones.
But the planners of the event did not anticipate the accident. They discussed the disaster, saying in a recent post that it was inevitable:
“This is a very stressful time. painful and challenging. A very sad and depressing time for family and friends. A moment no one should ever experience. Also, it’s the most difficult time that any of us who are at Medusa Festival have ever imagined. We still feel terrible. So damaged inside that words can hardly be spoken.
The organizers added that they continue to think of the victims and those affected:
“Our audience matters. They have placed their trust in us and have been the main support in keeping us here today. Our primary goal has always been the safety of participants during our event. In addition, workers and creative people. We think everyone who knows us understands that safety is the number one concern at all of our events.
