Chainsaw Man Chapter 118: Storyline

The events of Chapter 117 ended with Asa and Denji successfully escaping a repeat of the Eternity Devil Arc that trapped them in an endless aquarium.
Yoru was able to gain control of Asa and intonate the right power in the previous two pages that allowed him to create a “Denji Spinal Sword”.
It’s possible that War Devil’s powers won’t have any effect on Denji, but considering they could previously cast on Justice Devil, anything can happen at this point.

Chapter 177 is titled The Supernatural & Risks, and the chapter opens with hero sisters Tatsumaki and Fubuki fighting a powerful member of the Tsukuyomi.
The opponent’s powers are exceedingly strong, as evidenced by the fact that he can incapacitate Fubuki and temporarily force Tatsumaki to surrender to him by threatening to poison her sister.
During the fight, the Tsukuyomi antagonist opens up all of the demon-class monsters’ adjacent containment cells, but Saitama is able to stop a large number of them at once.
Tatsumaki has managed to remove the poison threat against her sister and turn it against her attacker, rendering her attacker utterly powerless to prevent his capture by the heroes.
Tatsumaki learns from the terse call that she can’t save everyone when she’s also responsible for dealing with her sister’s Blizzard bunch of C-rank heroes after nearly losing the fight.
The next thing that happens is Tatsumaki berates Fubuki for surrounding herself with weak people and insists that Fubuki sever all her ties with the people in question.
Tatsumaki goes to great lengths to make preparations to wound the Blizzard bunch to the point where it’s no longer fit for the hero job. Luckily, Saitama is able to stop her before she can carry out this plan.
The group will almost certainly get a significant amount of new information about the Tsukuyomi from their latest hostage in Chapter 178.

Chainsaw Man Chapter 118: Summary
In Chapter 117 of Chainsaw Man, we saw how Asa’s plan to turn the aquarium into the Aquarium Spear was a complete success.
The Eternity Devil was made visible to all by first removing the actual aquarium from the room and then turning it into a weapon.
After that, Asa and Yoru managed to kill the Eternity Devil for the first time and for Yoru it was the second time they managed it. Both deaths were extremely bloody.
Most importantly, Denji was able to fulfill his childhood dream of seeing a penguin.
He even had a chance to touch and hold a penguin before authorities took it away from him.
More seriously, fans noted that this scene, along with others in the issue, played a bigger role in his character development and highlighted how much he’s evolved since the first chapter.
This issue reported on a confrontation between Hirofumi Yoshida and Fami, also known as the Hunger Devil. It gave the impression that the two characters knew more about each other than fans did at the time.
Denji asked Asa on a second date, which spurred Yoru to quickly take control of their combined body and attempt to weaponize Denji, as did her power as a war devil. This was shown in the last few pages of the comic.
Chainsaw Man Chapter 118 will most likely either start with a focus on Asa and Denji, or jump right into current events and reveal Yoru’s attempt to use Denji as a weapon.
Either way, it’s almost guaranteed that this will be the case. If the story were to focus on Asa or Denji, it could give an overview of their thoughts immediately after the events in recent issues, or possibly shed light on previously unknown parts of their background.
On the other hand, the possibility of Fujimoto going straight back into the ongoing story where Denji is expected to survive efforts to weaponize him is slightly less than the likelihood of such events happening.
As Chainsaw Man chapter 118 will explain this, there is simply an unlimited number of possible explanations and only Fujimoto himself has even the faintest idea of how this will happen.
Chainsaw Man Chapter 118 could end with each party revealing their true identity to the other, followed by the start of a fight or skirmish between them.
This would come after Denji survived the attack. However, it is more likely that Denji, being unaware of what Yoru is trying to accomplish, makes a joke about the situation before walking away.
This will leave the rest of the issue open for Asa and Yoru to reassess their plans and determine how to proceed.
Chainsaw Man Chapter 118: Flashback
In Chapter 118 of Chainsaw Man, Yoru will be unsuccessful in his attempt to turn Denji into a weapon. In fact, it is physically impossible for them to turn Denji into their blade.
In Chapter 118 of Chainsaw Man, Yoru’s plan never comes to fruition. So what kind of reaction can we expect from her in the following segment?
The most shocking revelation for Yoru will come when she realizes that she cannot use Denji as a weapon against her opponents.
Not knowing that Denji is the chainsaw man, she will never be able to use him as her arm. That’s because she can’t trust him.
Yoru should have allowed Asa and Denji to spend more time together in their free time. The chemistry between them improves, it becomes more endearing and humorous.
Fans, on the other hand, can’t help but feel sorry for the couple as there seems to be no hope that Denji will ever have a typical love story. However, there are many people who hope for his luck.
Elsewhere, hole spoilers for Chainsaw Man Chapter 118 reveal Denji attempting to turn Asa into her blade. He strokes her back and says, “Asa Spiral Sword,” but neither has any effect.
Asa speculates that the reason might be that Denji hasn’t developed romantic feelings for her yet. At school, Denji invites Asa to a late night movie date, but Asa declines the offer.
She decided that renting a video would be a better option since it’s a lot cheaper.
Asa makes the decision to travel to him rather than her house, as Denji inquires about the availability of a VCR at her house and she doesn’t have one. On the other hand, he does.
This surprises Denji and he tells Asa that she must obey the laws of his house. It is revealed in Chapter 118 of “Chainsaw Man” that if she breaks it, she will die.
Little did they know Haruka overheard their conversation as they had it.
Meanwhile, “Chainsaw Man” chapter 117 revealed that Denji was surprised to realize that he had decided to follow Asa’s orders despite previously refusing to follow anyone else’s lead.
However, all his concerns vanished when he noticed a penguin looking directly at him.
While Asa was fighting the Eternity Devil, Denji had already escaped from the aquarium. The Eternity Devil then cursed the Famine Devil, who then attacked Asa. The Octopus Devil was then used by Hirofumi to defeat the Eternity Devil.
