In October, ahead of the first-ever women’s all-pay-per-view event, Evolution, Ripley fought Dakota Kai in a dark match. She won the match and retained her title (since the tournament had not yet aired at the time, she was not yet recognized as a champion on screen). Ripley was on Team NXT, which defeated both Team Raw and Team SmackDown the next night at Survivor Series. She was also her team’s leader in the women’s 5v5v5 elimination match, which her team won after eliminating SmackDown Captain Sasha Banks, leaving her, LeRae and Shirai as the lone survivors.
