Who are these Oogie Bears and what mischief are they causing?
Originally from Maryland, Sina and Nina Farzin were the driving forces behind the founding of the company. Nina had a hard time keeping her eldest child, Ariana’s, nose clean when she was a toddler. Ariana was her first child. Nina, who is a pharmacist, was amazed to learn that there were no solutions on the market that were both safe and healthy and would help keep her child’s nose clean, which in turn would lead to healthy breathing patterns. Sina Farzin, Nina’s husband, also works in the medical field and specializes in the treatment of sinusitis, oral cavity and respiratory diseases.
Oogiebear was founded by the Farzins, although they never anticipated needing their own business or getting into the business world. The Maryland couple developed an innovative snot removal tool by combining their intellect and diverse skills. Its innovative, patent-granted design makes it easier to maintain clean nostrils and safely eliminates mucus and other debris from the nasal cavity. The device is used to thoroughly clean a child’s nose and to relieve any discomfort that can arise from blocked airways as much as possible.
The larger removal tool is not only useful but also has an aesthetically pleasing design. Its brilliant hue was specially chosen to help it stand out from the crowd. The unique bear head attached to the end of each Oogiebear tool not only adds to the adorable look of the product, but also serves the practical purpose of preventing the tool from being inserted too deeply into a child’s nose. The Farzn children’s breathing difficulties served as a nucleus for the idea, which now has the potential to help other infants breathe easier.

At the time of writing, Oogiebear has expanded its product line and intends to launch more baby care products. The company has already started offering ear cleaners, toothbrushes, teats, nose balms, breast massagers and many more products. They’ve also incorporated LED lights into some of the instruments to help parents see what’s going on. Sina and Nina have stated that Oogiebear has earned more than $15 million since 2015. The two people appeared on Shark Tank in late September 2022 and said they’ve made $5.4 million in sales since the beginning of the year with $1 million in earnings. It is easy to imagine how such a large number of individuals helped them attract the attention of sharks.
Currently, Oogiebear items can be purchased at Amazon, Target, Buy Buy Baby, and Nordstrom in addition to Walmart and Amazon. There’s a good chance that product sales will increase as a direct result of their recent appearance on Shark Tank.
