The Tisca Chopra series is ridiculously weird

Dahan: Raakan Ka Rahasya is a mystery TV series directed by Vikranth Pawar and starring Tisca Chopra, Rajesh Tailang, Mukesh Tiwari, Saurabh Shukla and Ankur Nayyar among other cast members. The show has 9 episodes and each lasts between 45 and 50 minutes.

Even the first episode of Dahan will test how long you can wait. No matter how exciting or mysterious the next 8 episodes are, the first one is so full of explanations that you’ll lose interest halfway through. But when she comes to Shilaspura, Tisca Chopra will make you want to keep watching the show even after those slow episodes.

Dahan: Raakan Ka Rahasya

Shikaspura itself isn’t that interesting, but the people who made it made it so mysterious and scary that you can’t look away. When you add the very spooky background music, you have a strong atmosphere that makes it hard to look away. On this show, the village is a very interesting character, and man, it doesn’t let you down, especially when all of its different parts come together.

Avani Raut, played by Tisca Chopra, has her own secrets. We can feel from the first minute that something bad happened to her and that it still bothers her today. Is there something supernatural going on or is Avani just not thinking straight? You keep asking yourself that as Avani overcomes one obstacle after the other.

The battle between old and new is great, and the rivalry between Avani and Pramukh Swaroop (Saurabh Shukla) is fun. Avani is tasked with helping the small village grow, but Swaroop does everything in his power to stop her. Nobody knows who will win this fight and you won’t be able to find out until the end of the show. But before that, you see everyone acting shady and doing things that make you raise an eyebrow.

Still, Dahan doesn’t do his characters any favors with the way he portrays them. None of them are good, and none of them are old enough to understand the complexities of the situation. They are always arguing and yelling about what they want and “development” without considering what others want or how those hasty decisions may affect people.

At one point you also get the feeling that Avani is very unmusical and controlling. She doesn’t listen to others and doesn’t believe in respecting their opinions and needs. At first we see it in small things, but then it shows in larger parts of their lives. It’s interesting that at first she doesn’t care what’s about to happen, but then, like everyone else, she feels the consequences that bite her hard in the back.

Director Vikranth Pawar said of the show, “With ‘Dahan – Raakan Ka Rahasya’ we wanted to make a show where people could see how mythical and supernatural elements can work together to scare people. The mysterious feel of this supernatural thriller came from more than just the characters and plot. Attitude was also important. The show’s unique pace keeps people watching until the mystery of Shilaspura is solved. I’m thrilled to be working with Disney+ Hotstar to bring this story to life and reach many people.”

Tisca Chopra, who plays an IAS officer, has nothing but good things to say about the series’ story and plot. She said, “What I love most about ‘Dahan – Raakan Ka Rahasya’ is how each character faces his or her own demons with raw fear. My character, Avani Raut, fights personal and professional struggles when caught between superstition and the supernatural on the one hand and resin and realism on the other. The show sends the character Avani Raut on a quest, showing that her outer and inner fears are similar to those we all have. It was a real pleasure to bring Dahan and Avani to the public. I’m very proud to bring this gray character with lots of layers.”

Veteran actor Saurabh Shukla, who plays Pramukh, commented on the show. He said, “Dahan – Raakan Ka Rahasya is a show that carefully weaves together a tale of myth, legend and superstition. When I play Pramukh I get to see how the people of the village and the people who live there live according to their strong beliefs. This character stands out because he’s scared of what he worships, but he’s too scared to break the chain. I can’t wait to see what people think about it.”

Dahan web series review: Tisca Chopra is one of the best actresses in the Hindi film industry, but filmmakers don’t use her very often and give her very few roles. But Tisca Chopra was able to get her career off the ground because she landed some good roles. Tisca Chopra stars in the web series Dahan, which you can stream on Disney+Hotstar. Let’s find out if this new supernatural series is worth streaming by reading a detailed review about it.

People in the village called Shilaspura still believe in magic and follow some superstitions. The Indian government is using satellites to find rare earth minerals in the hills of Shilaspura. Then it sends Avani Raut to talk to the people in the village and convince them to have the minerals taken from the caves. But the people in the village are afraid to hear from the hills because they believe that powerful souls are hiding in the caves and that they will cause trouble when they come out.

The cast of Dahan: Raakan Ka Rahasya includes Tisca Chopra, Saurabh Shukla, Rajesh Tailang, Rohan Joshi, Mukesh Tiwari and Ankur Nayyar. The series is directed by Vikrant Pawar and Mahesh Korade, Deepak Dhar and Rishi Negi are in charge of the making. Arcodeb Mukherjee is in charge of the show’s cinematography.

We have seen many series in romance, action, comedy and thriller genres so far. The supernatural thriller shows don’t come out in any language very often. Dahan is one of those shows that gives you a new genre to watch, but the way they are made and the scenes are written make them look very boring and have no impact. Even though the scary scenes worked well in some episodes, we’ve seen these types of scenes in a lot of movies, so they don’t excite us. If we watch all nine episodes in one sitting, only one or two of them are interesting.

When it comes to acting, Tisca Chopra has done her best, but the show’s weak writing and making make it impossible for her to do so. Saurabh Shukla is great to watch on screen and he did a great job. Rajesh Tailang did a good job and all the other actors did well what they were supposed to do.

The Dahan series looks average from a technical point of view. The music is ok and didn’t scare us as we watched the spooky scenes. Arcodeb Mukherjee is in charge of the camera and in some scenes it looks good and in others it looks like he’s just a kid. The editing of this show could have been better, making people want to spend 40-45 minutes on each episode.

Director Vikrant Pawar failed to make a thriller that is interesting to watch. But the director deserves credit for the rough way he made some scenes and for choosing a new genre to show the audience.

Overall, Dahan is a good effort but fails to get people interested enough to watch all the episodes.
