When they went to an employment agency, they were told that Wilson would need to lose weight before he could be considered for jobs. She developed anorexia nervosa at age 14 and then bulimia, which lasted until she was 20.
She started exercising and ate six meals a day. She placed third in her first pageant and won the Miss Galaxy pageant in 1998. After that, she joined the Extreme Fitness team for a while. Wilson won first place in the Grace and Physique round of the 1998 Women’s Tri-Fitness Championships.

Career in professional wrestling
Wilson started wrestling when she went to a World Championship Wrestling (WCW) show with her boyfriend in 1999. After she went backstage, Scott Steiner asked her to go to the ring with him. Kevin Nash later said he wanted to do a storyline with her. She first appeared on Nitro (later named “Samantha”) on February 8, 1999. The story revealed that the New World Order (nWo) sent Wilson to try and get David Flair to turn against his father, Ric Flair. Both appeared in SuperBrawl IX on February 21st. Wilson punched Ric and David shocked him with a taser. After Ric Hollywood defeated Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at Uncensored in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage match, David and Wilson took a break from WCW television in April. They came back in May to get in the ring with David for matches. Wilson was Ric Flair’s valet at the 1999 Bash at the Beach where he defeated Dean Malenko to retain the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship.
She went to the ring with David until September, when David got on the phone with Wilson and found out that Wilson was flirting with Billy Kidman in the Filthy Animals dressing room. This got Flair and Kidman arguing. On the October 18, 1999 episode of Nitro, Wilson turned on him, resulting in Flair losing the match and being beaten up by the Animals. After the Animals stopped beating up David, Wilson and the Filthy Animals left. It was around this time that Wilson began caring for Kidman and the rest of the Filthy Animals. Thus she became involved in the ongoing battle between The Animals and The Revolution. During a match between Kidman and Konnan and Creative Control for the WCW World Tag Team Championship on Nitro on November 22, 1999, Kidman looked up at the Turnertron and saw Wilson and Eddie Guerrero flirting in his locker room on the “Kidcam,” a hideaway camera segment. This led to an in-story feud between Kidman and Guerrero. After that, Wilson stopped appearing on television. Wilson came back to manage Kidman on the January 19, 2000 episode of Thunder. In April 2000, Kidman and Wilson joined a stable called New Blood, which made them both villains. As part of her new storyline, Kidman grew jealous when Wilson began paying more attention to New Blood member Horace Hogan. In June, Wilson beat Kidman at the Great American Bash, losing to Hulk Hogan, Horace’s uncle.
Wilson was pulled from television after the fight. He came back during a match between Shane Douglas and Buff Bagwell at the Bash at the Beach in July. Wilson and Douglas left the match together, causing Kidman and Douglas to argue. At September’s Fall Brawl, Wilson and Douglas beat Kidman and Madusa in a mixed tag team match with scaffolding across the ring. In December 2000, Wilson was kicked out of WCW.
