On August 16, 2022, Darius Danesh’s family issued an obituary notice. He was found unconscious at his home in Rochester, Minnesota on Aug. 11, according to a statement they issued. In the afternoon, the local coroner pronounced him dead.
He was rumored to have been drinking water before dying from the coma. It is not known if the episode in which he had a near-death experience after drinking water from the Thames caused his death.
According to the Sunday Post, the event took place in 2017 when the musician drank river water to demonstrate how a bottle filter launched by his company Fresh2o could make drinking safe.
