On August 8, while IShowSpeed was at his home in Boston, he was arrested by authorities. The YouTuber was reportedly in the process of broadcasting live video when a group of law enforcement officers entered the facility and took control of the situation. Fans only see a small snippet of the full video, which lasts 1 minute and 34 seconds and is trending on social media right now.
Someone else, whose identity has not been made public, was live streaming what happened to Speed from their phone as it happened. However, when one of the officers sees it with his own eyes, he immediately orders the other person to put it down because it violates privacy laws. Although there is a procedure prohibiting the recording of court proceedings, it has been done.
If the question is raised as to whether or not he is still in custody, the answer is almost certainly yes. We understand the YouTuber remains in detention and a full investigation is ongoing as we have been unable to find any evidence of the YouTuber’s public conduct.

The online community is completely baffled that the popular internet personality has been put in such a difficult situation.
During one of his recent livestream shows, the YouTuber appears to have been hit with a baton while surrounded by law enforcement officials. Those unfamiliar with the term “swatting” believe that it refers to the unethical and unlawful method of harassing another person, in which an emergency medical service is deceived into directing a police or emergency medical service response team to address a to send to another person. Things of this nature often happen as a direct result of people submitting fabricated reports of serious crimes such as murder, hostage-taking, bomb threats, and so on.
