On August 5, the body of Bryce Evans, a 23-year-old Tennessee man who had been reported missing, was discovered in the Balsam Mountains of North Carolina.
Bryce Evans, a University of Tennessee student and National Guard member, was reported missing the week before last after setting out on a trip that included hiking and camping in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
According to Fox News, Evans was not last seen anywhere in the world on July 31 except in Cherokee, North Carolina. After he didn’t return his parents’ calls, they reported him missing and began searching for him. His car, a gray 2017 Nissan Ultima, was found parked at the starting point of a hiking route on Thursday.
Authorities have said they will continue their investigation into the circumstances of Evans’ death.
The disappearance of Bryce Evans
Bryce Evans valued his time in nature. In the years leading up to his appointment as National Outdoorsman, he was an active participant in the Eagle Scouts.
Before disappearing, he instructed his sister, Analise Evans, to go to the gym and then drive to Charlottesville, North Carolina, where he would enroll for an internship at the University of North Carolina. Before disappearing, he told Analise that he would sign up for the internship. However, according to university records, he never showed up there.
According to Scott Erland, a spokesman for the Knoxville Police Department, who reportedly said the same thing, Evans didn’t sign up at the gym.
According to the article published in Citizens Times, after law enforcement spotted Bryce Evans’ vehicle on Heintooga Ridge Road at 7:45 p.m. on Aug. 4, they cordoned off the area and began searching the area . The search resumed on August 5. Evans’ body was found off-route by first responders around 11:15 a.m. Analiese Evans lamented the loss of her brother on multiple social media platforms when the news broke.
