A severe case of pancreatitis and likely sepsis recently claimed the life of former major league baseball player Seth Johnson, who was just 23 years old.
Johnson possessed a significant amount of baseball talent. He was a member of the Baltimore Orioles organization until his death. He would benefit greatly from the opportunities in front of him.
Seth has always had an interest in baseball since he was a little boy. All his life he had a dream of becoming a professional baseball player and he wanted to make that dream come true.

Johnson played baseball at the professional level for the Baltimore Orioles in the United States. He was born in the United States. When Tampa Bay decided to add him to their roster for the first time, he officially began his career in the ranks of the pros.
He was selected with the forty-first overall pick during the 2019 Major League Baseball Draft. Before he died, Seth had his entire professional life ahead of him.

He had a lot of talent and was well known in the baseball community. Johnson honed his baseball skills at Jay M. Robinson High School in Concord, North Carolina. In 2016, he not only graduated from high school, but also enrolled in Louisburg College.
Seth pitched a total of six innings for Louisburg over the course of his career. After completing his sophomore year at his previous school, he made the decision to transfer to Campbell University to focus solely on his pitching career.

At the end of May he was diagnosed with forearm problems and placed on the injured list. After some time it became clear that the reason he underwent the Tommy John procedure was an ulnar collateral ligament injury in his elbow.
Johnson did not attend a little league game due to the 2020 minor league baseball season being delayed due to the COVID-19 virus. He was traded to the Low-A East’s Charleston RiverDogs for the 2021 season to continue his baseball career.
