Yuriana Castillo Torres was a woman who had ties to a drug dealer. She dated El Chino Antrax, who was in charge of Los Antrax, one of the Sinaloa Cartel’s armed groups and a confidant of Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada.
Yuriana Castillo Torres: Dead or Alive?
Yuriana Castillo Torres died on May 6, 2014 in the city of Culiacan, Sinaloa. Yuriana Castillo Torres was allegedly taken by gunmen while trying to get to her car after exiting a gym in Culiacan, Sinaloa.
At 6:45 a.m. the next morning, Mexican police found her body in an empty lot in the Lomas de Guadalupe neighborhood of Culiacan.
Later, Yuriana’s family went to the forensic facilities to prove she was who she said she was. Autopsy results show that Castillo Torres was tortured, suffered multiple head wounds and had her wrists and legs tied with an electrical cord.
Six men in a truck took her away, people who saw said. Only her purple athletic shoe remained. Yuriana Castillo Torres was related to Javier Torres el JT and Manuel Torres el Ondeado who were responsible for the Sinaloa Cartel.
The body of Yuriana Castillo Torres was found in a vacant lot in the Lomas de Guadalupe neighborhood. It was wrapped in white cloth and tied with electrical cords.

El Chino Antrax, a partner of Yuriana Castillo Torres, was sent to the United States where he was wanted for trafficking in cocaine and marijuana.
He said he was guilty on March 20, 2015. He admitted that he had helped ship drugs like cocaine and marijuana from Mexico to the United States and that he had colluded with the Sinaloa Cartel to do violent things.
On March 3, 2020, he was released from custody and placed under house arrest. On May 9, his parole officer told police he was missing.
On May 14, 2020, El Chino, the partner of Yuriana Castillo Torres, his sister and her husband were at the house when a Sinaloa Cartel “hit squad” showed up. This led to a tense firefight, with Chino firing an automatic assault weapon to defend himself.
During this firefight, which lasted until dawn, they ran out of guns and gave up. Armed men then took them hostage.
The next day, authorities found a black SUV with three bodies inside in the town of Ayune, Sinaloa. One of the dead was later identified as José Rodrigo Aréchiga Gamboa, also known as El Chino Antrax. He had been shot and was dead. A black plastic bag was pulled over his head and he was wrapped in cloth.
The other two bodies were his sister and her husband or wife. Later reports said that the most likely people who gave the order to kill him were senior Sinaloa Cartel officials.
