A lot of people think that Nikolas Croz, the parkland shooter, did what he did because of his religion.
Parkland School shooter Nikolas Cruz did a terrible thing on February 14, 2018 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. He killed 17 innocent people and injured 17 others.
Cruz shot students and teachers at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, killing 17 people. He ran away and an hour later he was caught in Coral Springs and charged with 17 murders and 17 attempted murders.
Nikolas Cruz pleaded guilty to killing 14 students and three staff at Parkland High School on October 20, 2021.
The Parkland High School shooting killed more people than any other high school shooting in US history.
Family history of a troubled child named Nikolas
Nikolas Jacob, now 23, was born in Margate, Florida. He and his brother were taken in by Lynda and Rodger Cruz at a young age. When he was 6 years old his father died from a heart attack which he saw and caused him great pain.
His mother, Lynda, died two months before the Parkland mass shooting. Later, court records revealed that Nikolas has a half-sister named Daniella who is 31 years old.
Cruz was a restless kid. At the age of 3 he was told that he was developmentally retarded. Nikolas has been diagnosed with depression, emotional behavior disorder, autism, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, anger issues, and obsessive-compulsive disorder, among others.
Cruz had a history of being violent and rough with his mother and brother, which was written down. Nikolas Cruz’s religion and family background are still a mystery.
Nikolas got kicked out of Douglas High School
People who used to be in the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps talked a lot about guns and bullets. He was a member of the varsity air rifle team at his MSD.
Bullets were once found in his backpack while he was going to school. Because of this, he was kicked out of Douglas High when he was in junior high. When he was a student at Douglas High, he had to deal with many brutal punishments. After being kicked out, Cruz went to another school in Broward County.
Cruz was a former student at MSD High. He was not very friendly and had trouble making friends. his friends and brother Zachery often picked on him. Students at Douglas High say he was called a “weirdo, creep and freak” at school.
Before the Parkland High School shooting, his mother had called the police 23 times in the past 10 years.
Either the death penalty or life imprisonment
Prosecutors want Cruz to get the death penalty, but Cruz’s defense team is hoping for a life sentence since he has admitted to all charges.
The defense could say the shooter was unable to do what he was doing because of a mental illness. Brenda Woodard, his birth mother, was an alcoholic and drug addict. She was arrested for buying cocaine while carrying Cruz. Most likely, the defense team will bring it up when the jury decides whether or not to give the shooter the death penalty or life imprisonment.
Although his biological mother had nothing to do with how he was raised, her drug use while still in the womb affected his genes.
Now the jury has to decide
However, because this crime was planned in advance, it could be difficult for the defense to make this case.
Due to the corona virus pandemic, the MSD massacre four years ago was repeatedly postponed. But the process to decide how long the MSD gunman will have to go to jail began on Monday. The jury must now decide whether the shooter gets the death penalty or life imprisonment.
As you can see in the picture above, this horrific act has affected everyone at Parkland High School and the families of the people who have died. Well, it’s still haunting everyone in the country who’s been hurt in any way by it. Thousands if not millions of people across the country were injured by this act of terrorism. Should the person who shot the person be killed or released? What do you think about it?
