Synopsis for episode 8
Better call Saul’s season 6 episode before it was titled Point and Shoot. Gordon Smith wrote the screenplay and Vince Gilligan directed. In the episode, Lalo gave Jimmy the address of Gus’ house and told him to go there and shoot him.
Lalo was persuaded by Jimmy to send Kim, after which Lalo tied Jimmy to a chair and walked away. Mike stopped Jim at Gus’ front door and she told him everything that happened with Lalo. She showed Gus a duplicate body that matched Lalo’s description. Then Mike ordered his boys to go to Jimmy and Kim’s apartment.
Realizing the shot attempt was a distraction, Gus made his way to Lavandera Brillant when Kim claimed Lalo agreed to her taking Jimmy’s place. Gus was planning to set up a meth lab and Lalo was there to gather evidence. Gus was then ambushed and his bodyguards were killed. Afterwards, Gus showed Lalo the lab, which caused a power outage.
He grabbed the hidden gun in the shadows and started shooting at Lalo. When the lights came on, he discovered that Lalo had injured him but also caused his death. Meanwhile, Mike said that Howard’s death would appear as a suicide since he and his men removed Howard’s body from Jimmy and Kim’s apartment. He then oversaw Howard and Lalo’s funeral on the lab floor.
