AstroTwins ready to help people find love through cosmic love

Identical twins Ophira and Tali Edut, better known as AstroTwins, are respected astrologers for ELLE magazine with a worldwide audience. The pair will make their television debut on Prime Video’s Cosmic Love, where they will help singles find love through astrology and their stars.

On December 2, 1972, in Detroit, Michigan, Tali and Ophira, Israeli-American twins, were born 4 minutes apart at 10 a.m. and 10 a.m., respectively. Her special upbringing, rich in cultural influences, prepared her for a life shaped by astrology.

At 18, Tali won a competition that gave her the chance to work for the renowned Sassy magazine, which had a proud feminist stance as early as the 1990s. The competition gave Tali the chance to serve as the issue’s art director, which turned out to be just what Cosmic Love’s mentors needed – a crash course in media production.

The two founded the HUES magazine in 1992 as a final project for women’s studies. They wanted to create a place where women of different races, cultural backgrounds, sizes and sexual orientations could feel valued and represented. Black and white half-size editions of HUES were published with university grants and local advertisements. It was made available on national newsstands a few years later and sold to New Moon Publishing in Duluth, Minnesota in 1997.

Ophira began working as an editor at Ms. Magazine after the two moved to New York City, while Tali later began working for an activist group called Do Something.

The editor of Teen People Magazine observed Ophira as she worked on an article about her father’s transition to womanhood and challenged the Cosmic Love mentors to take over her astrology column.
