In 1995, Matheson Academy serves as the setting for Locke and Keys Episode 7, Curtain, in which Rendell uses the Creation Key to resurrect Caliban from Tempest. Rendell and his company, who wanted to use the key to increase their production, are not doing well when Gordie discovers the beast. Ellie then makes the decision to dispose of the key and places it in Gordie’s brain.
In the present, Ellie is seen escorting Gideon to Gordie’s house so Gordie can get the key from his head. Perplexed by what is happening, Gordie, who has lost all memory of the past, fights but is injured in the process. Gideon uses the Memory Key to enter Gordie’s mind.
Given Sam’s previous betrayal, Nina, Tyler, and Kinsey are still debating whether to allow him to join them. He seems sincerely sorry, however, as he wants to help and demonstrate his loyalty to the Lockes.
They decide to contain their anger and cooperate to defeat Gideon given the circumstances. When Tyler, Kinsey, and Sam arrive at Gordie’s house, they find that Gordie is badly injured. In order to save Ellie and take the key away from Gideon, they enter Gordie’s head where Ellie and Gideon were.

However, Gordie deteriorates and his interior light dies. As a result, the Lockes, Sam, and Ellie knew they only had a limited amount of time to find the key before it was stuck in Gordie’s skull for all eternity.
In other news, Nina and Bode tried unsuccessfully to open the safe using a variety of tools. The Alpha Key needed to fend off Gideon is kept in the safe. They try to open the safe using a chainsaw, a drill, and even fire, but nothing seems to work.
Sam tries to stop Gideon while Ellie and the Lockes search for the key in Gordie’s skull and escape. Meanwhile, Ellie and the Lockes stumble upon Gideon again. Kinsey makes a significant discovery when she discovers the key hidden behind one of the piano keys in Gordie’s brain. Sam fights off Gideon as they flee, but the fight is short-lived as Gideon drops the piano on Sam, trapping him.
Paramedics rush Gordie to the hospital, but his prognosis for survival is not good. Will Sam, Tyler, Elle and Kinsey be able to escape? There will be resolutions in the Locke and Key season 3 finale. The latest season of the show is currently available to stream on Netflix.
