Stephen left BET after 18 years working there
On March 29, 2017, BET Networks Chair and CEO Debra Lee announced to the public that Hill was quitting her job. Billboard was able to obtain a copy of an internal employee memo praising Lee Hill for being a trusted friend and collaborator, and for his energy, passion and love for BET.
In his final words to the BET crew, Hill thanked Lee for the early money he put into him and the support he gave him. He also said that BET Networks had a lot of good people working there.
In January, Hill was responsible for BET’s six-hour biopic The New Edition Story, which received good ratings and reviews. At BET, he helped make shows like Real Husbands of Hollywood, 106 & Park, The BET Awards, and The Hip Hop Awards, all of which were hugely popular.

Moore was signed to Silas Records, which is being sold by MCA. Benny Medina signed her to Warner Bros. Records when she was 19. There she made an entire album before being dropped. In 1991, Moore sang the song “Candlelight and You” with R&B singer Keith Washington, which was featured on the House Party 2 soundtrack. Moore immediately began work on her first solo album.
Precious, Moore’s debut album, was released September 29, 1992 on Silas Records and MCA Records. The album, which was made with the help of Simon Law, Bebe Winans and George Duke, reached #101 on the US Billboard 200 album chart. The first single “Love’s Taken Over” reached #86 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and #13 on the R&B Singles chart. It’s Alright, the album’s second single, did not fare well on the Billboard Hot 100 but peaked at #13 on the R&B chart. “Like We’d Never Met” and “Who Do I Turn To?” were released as singles by Precious in 1993. On November 14, 1994, the RIAA said the album was gold.
Moore’s second album, A Love Supreme, was released on November 15, 1994. It reached #64 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Moore was one of the album’s executive producers, and he and Fred Moultrie co-wrote eight of the songs. “Old School Lovin’,” the album’s lead single, reached #19 on the R&B chart. This was her third Top 20 R&B song. Three more songs came off the album: “This Time” in 1994, “I’m What You Need” in 1995 and “Free/Sail On” in 1996. (1995). Moore was featured on the soundtrack of the 1995 hit film Waiting to Exhale. He sang on five tracks including “Wey U” and “Count On Me” which became a hit single.
This Moment Is Mine, Divorce and Exposed were released between 1999 and 2002
In 1999 she released her third album, This Moment Is Mine. The song “Chanté’s Got a Man,” which she wrote for her then-husband Kadeem Hardison, was her biggest hit up to that point. It reached #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and #2 on the R&B chart. It was also awarded a gold certification. This was followed by the single “I See You in a Different Light” featuring JoJo Hailey from Jodeci, which was used as the main theme in the Kevin Costner film “For the Love of the Game”.
Moore’s more modern R&B album, Exposed, was released in 2000 after she split from Hardison. She worked on this album with another group of musicians. These included the singles “Straight Up,” made by Jermaine Dupri, and “Bitter,” whose video was the sequel to the “Mr. Big” story by R. Kelly and The Isley Brothers.
Moore won a 2002 Soul Train Music Award for Best R&B/Soul Single for the song “Contagious,” which also featured The Isley Brothers and R. Kelly. The song was also slated for a Vocal Grammy Award-winning R&B performance by a duo or group.
A year after marrying R&B singer Kenny Lattimore, she and Lattimore signed to Arista Records as a duo act and released an album of covers called Things That Lovers Do in 2003. The album was promoted with a track called “The Album” and a music video for the single “You Don’t Have to Cry”. In the video, Moore is clearly pregnant and Lattimore is also on screen.

Moore’s fifth album, Love the Woman, was released on June 17, 2008. Ain’t Supposed to Be This Way is the album’s first single. It was broadcast on radio on May 12, 2008.
Moore planned a Love the Woman tour in 2009 with stops in Los Angeles and Atlanta, Georgia, among other places. In May 2009 she was in a live stage production of Otis Sallid’s Gospel! Gospel!
