In 2014, a Reddit user posted a mug shot of a crying woman named Linda Murphy with the caption, “This Woman Has Been Arrested for Calling Her Ex-Boyfriend 77,000 Times in One Week” and a link to an article published on World News Daily led report.
The article on the website said that Linda Murphy was a Mexican woman who was arrested by Albuquerque police for extreme stalking.
It also said the woman, 28, was so obsessed with her ex-boyfriend that she called him 77,639 times in a week and sent him 1,937 emails, 41,229 text messages and 647 letters in the same period.
Murphy was diagnosed with compulsive behavior. When she broke up with her boyfriend, she didn’t handle it well and used three phones to call him 24 hours a day and drank energy drinks to stay awake.
Later, the victim found out that she had finally been caught, which made her feel better.

In her comments, Ciera told other people, “Warning folks: don’t do drugs and don’t climb through drive-thru windows or this could happen to you.” and asked people to stop messaging her about the fake meme.
