Who is Maya Campbell?
In the second episode of the second season, Maya Campbell is shown to the audience for the first time. A college student struggling to pay her student loan, she currently works as a bartender to make ends meet. Maya Campbell is portrayed on the show by actress Chelsea Frei, who also stars in the series. Her recurring role as Luna on the comedy series The Last OG, produced by Jordan Peele and John Carcieri, is credited in large part for her rise to stardom. It could be said that Frei’s portrayal as Bridget Moody in The Moodys made her the most famous. Frei may also be known to some fans for her role as Ingrid on the HBO series The Time Traveler’s Wife.
The events of Season 2 shed light on the fact that Maya had some sort of relationship with FBI Special Agent Garrett Miller at some point in the past. Maya is recruited by Garrett as a confidential informant for the FBI, taking advantage of her precarious financial situation. However, things change when Garrett has an affair with Maya and his wife cheats with her. Maya’s job as an informant eventually leads to her becoming deeply entangled in the underworld. On the other hand, Garrett turns his focus to arresting Arman, leaving Maya to deal with the consequences of her undercover work.
Why is Garrett tracking Maya Campbell’s whereabouts?
The nature of the connection between Garrett and Maya will be revealed in the show’s second season. When Garrett was younger, he was forced to sever his ties with Maya. Maya, who is working as an informant in this case, has him removed from the investigation. As a direct result, Maya is forced to face the dangers of the criminal underground alone and must fight for her privacy in the process. Her first appearance on the show is in season two, beginning with “Lolo and Lola,” the second episode of that season.
Garrett is determined to make amends with Maya as soon as possible. Intending to make amends for his past actions, he enlists the help of FBI Agent Katherine Russo in finding Maya. After discovering that Maya is now working with potentially harmful individuals, Garrett realizes that rescuing her from the underworld will be even more of a challenge than it already was. In the third episode, Garrett enlists Thony’s help in extracting important information from Maya’s mobile device. He then asks Thony, who frequents the same pub as Maya, to clone Maya’s phone and sends her on her way. However, both the evidence Garrett finds and Thony’s interactions with Maya lead to the conclusion that Maya is currently too far down in the underworld to save.
The third episode provides numerous indications that Maya does not wish to be put down and that she finds solace in the presence of criminals. Also, the two will likely have to go through their individual issues before Maya can accept Garrett’s help. As a result, Garrett may not be able to successfully help Maya, despite his best efforts to do so. On the other hand, it is currently unknown whether Maya is interested in a rescue or not. Actress Chelsea Frei, who plays Maya on the show, has landed a recurring role for the upcoming second season of the show, which she is a part of. Fans can therefore assume that the plot of Maya and Carett will continue to develop in the following episodes.

Chelsea Frei joins The Cleaning Lady in season two in a recurring role
Fox has begun revealing new casting information for hit crime series The Cleaning Lady as the launch of season two nears. Chelsea Frei has joined the show’s recurring cast, according to Deadline. In Episode 2 of Season 2, Frei’s character Maya Campbell makes her television debut.
In the show’s second season, Campbell will make her debut as a character from FBI Special Agent Garrett Miller’s past. Campbell was once an easy-going, hard-working woman who took a low-paying job as a bartender at a Las Vegas bar to pay off her student loans. Unfortunately, when Agent Miller hires her as an informant for the case he’s working on, she gets lost in the perplexing FBI drug case. However, their affair ended both their romance and the aforementioned drug case. It’s unclear how Campbell’s reappearance would affect the series’ protagonist, Thony (Élodie Yung), a Cambodian doctor whose situational job as a “cleaner” for the mafia keeps her constantly under the noses of the police authorities.
It seems that Freis Campbell could be one of the new people from Arman and Nadia’s past to be introduced to Thony in “a fresh new way,” as showrunner Melissa Carter said of the upcoming season in an interview with Collider in June 2. Carter added: “Thony will create new enemies and new alliances and fight new opponents.” It will be interesting to see which camp Campbell takes on this spectrum. According to Carter, Frei is the first of these new characters to be revealed, and more are said to be on the way.
With only a handful of television jobs in 2018, Frei is a relative newcomer to the acting world. She made her acting debut as Jayne Tyler in the on-demand comedy series Sideswipe, a series regular. Victoria Gotti: My Father’s Daughter, a biopic about Victoria Gotti, featured her as a reality TV personality. Her other credits include the flopped sci-fi romance drama The Time Traveller’s Wife and Jordan Peele’s The Last OG. When Kacey, a woman in her 30s who’s recently single for the first time in her adult life, decides to explore life outside of the fast-paced Los Angeles she’s known all her life, Frei has booked her first starring role in the upcoming Freeform series While You Were Breeding.
In addition to Frei, Adan Canto, Martha Millan, Jay Mohr, Liza Weil and Shiva Negar from The Cleaning Lady will also be in attendance. Miranda Kwok is the series’ creator, writer, and executive producer. Shay Mitchell, David Dean Portelli, Rose Marie Vega and Paola Suarez also serve as executive producers. Fox Entertainment and Warner Bros. The Television collaborated on production.
