Albert filed for divorce from my wife Deidre after 22 years of marriage. That’s sad. In a statement released by his agent Dan Lozano, the 42-year-old St. Louis Cardinals star said, “A lot of questions have been asked about what has been going on at home the past few days.”

He said he knew it wasn’t the best time as Opening Day and other family events were soon to come. These problems are never easy, and they didn’t appear out of nowhere.

At the end of his statement, Pujols said that he and Deidre “remain committed to” giving their five children “a loving and safe environment in which to grow up.”
