What led to today’s arrest of rapper FG Famous?
Rapper FG Famous was arrested on August 6, 2022 on suspicion of taking part in a shooting that took place after the death of his brother JayDaYoungan.
The well-known rapper was shot dead in his birthplace, Bogalusa, north of New Orleans, according to police. The musician, 24, was killed just after 6am on Wednesday. His real name is Javorius Scott.
According to authorities, they received a call about an exchange of fire shortly after 6 p.m. on Wednesday. According to Ally Viral, one of the injured was taken to the Our Lady of the Angeles emergency room.
A second victim, still visible on screen, was taken there by ambulance in critical condition. Nearly 4 miles from the first shooting, just after 7 p.m., authorities received word of another shooting.

Rapper FG Famous and his older brother JayDaYoungan were both born in Bogalusa, Louisiana.
Javorius Tykies Scott, his sibling, was killed in a horrific shooting outside his Louisiana home, JayDaYoungan. He was shot dead next to his father, who is recovering in hospital.
On July 27, just ten days after the incident, police took Jaydayoungan’s brother into custody. Taphouse TV broke the first news of FG Famous’s imprisonment on their Instagram feed.
They claimed the government dispatched the NOPD to capture FG Famous while he was shopping for the late artist’s funeral.
