Beyonce joined the popular video sharing app TikTok on Thursday, July 13th. That was shortly before she released her seventh album, Renaissance, on July 29th.
After posting a short video clip as her first post on the platform, Queen Bey garnered more than three million followers in less than a day.
The Grammy-winning R&B star’s first post on the app was a video of people dancing to her new single from the album, Break My Soul. Cardi B, a big name in hip-hop, made a cameo and lip-synced to Beyonce’s new hit. This quickly led people to think that Beyonce and Cardi B could work together, and many people asked Beyonce to work with Cardi B on her new studio album.
Beyonce and Cardi B could collaborate on a song
Cardi B makes a quick, easy-to-miss entrance on Beyonce’s TikTok debut. Wearing a bright yellow tank top, she sings along to the lyrics to Beyonce’s new song. The clip is from one of the rapper’s recent Instagram live streams, for those who don’t know. Since then, fans have thought that Beyonce and Cardi B might be collaborating on a song, but neither of them have said anything about it yet.
Beyonce’s 62 Second Montage was her first post on TikTok. The 40-year-old singer wrote in the caption of the post, “Seeing you all let go of the wobble made me so happy! Thank you for loving BREAK MY SOUL so much. – Love B – #RENAISSANCE #BREAKMYSOUL.” Beyonce used the official artwork for her upcoming album as her display image. The artwork features the singer wearing a metallic bikini and riding a glowing holographic horse.
People on Twitter were talking about how Cardi B made a cameo in Beyonce’s first TikTok video. “Barbs was so sure Beyonce didn’t like Cardi B. Check out Beyonce’s TikTok. She added Cardi’s voice singing her song as a cameo. I guess you’re mad now!!! You will be even madder and sicker when they actually work together, which I promise will happen sooner or later!! “Look,” one user said, while another fan posted, “Somewhere in a vault of hundreds of signed NDAs is a Cardi and Beyonce collaboration just waiting to be released.”
Another fan wrote: “So almost every artist just ignores Nicki? I know it’s just a cameo but how,” and the next person tweeted, “Beyoncé knows what’s good. Cardi is the girl to watch out for. One person claimed, “Queens recognize queens.” On the other hand, a user said, “I think that’s a nod to the collaboration.” “Please let Cardi B be on the album,” one said. The song and video will be top notch,” said another. “Beyonce posted a clip of Cardi B singing her song on Tiktok!!!! cardi b. was posted by Beyoncé. Yes, the collaboration is on the way!!!”
